Everything we do today, we capture it for memories and social media. Photos are a great way to hold the moments forever. They take us back in time and help us relive the moment. I’ve always wanted to see how the lifestyle of our parents and grandparents would have been like. So, check out the article to go through the rollercoaster ride of some Reddit users that take us back in time. They are the definition of “Old School Cool”. 1. 1969-Three Stooges in Yellowstone
Redditor u/CaptainOutstanding posted a picture of his grandfather 2 years ago. The photo was taken in Yellowstone. After seeing this photo, a Yellowstone librarian messaged him on Reddit with more photos of his grandfather with the Three Stooges that they had never seen before. He describes, “He’s (grandfather) the park ranger in the middle. 1969.”
2.’70s- Hidden message in the Photo
I love finding out missing pieces of a puzzle or hidden messages in photos and games. However, this one really got me. Redditor u/PrinceWilliam13 shares, his grandmother in the ’70s shot for a Company photo. The Company Photo had a hidden message in the necklace she wore. He says, “with some choice words for her boss on her necklace.” Flip the photo upside down. What do you see?
3. Granny in the ’30s
Redditor u/kodiak1966 shares a picture of his grandmother from the 1930s that was taken in Colorado. His grandmother was an Italian immigrant. The Italian side of his family settled in the Colorado region. Thank you for sharing this beautiful photograph of your grandmother. She looks gorgeous!
4. 1976- “Cool as Ice” Grandad
This picture shared by Redditor u/Chemical_Ad4673 is of his grandfather in 1976. He says. “1967. Grandad. Cool as ice.” Well, the photo is a vibe!

7. The 1980s- Cool Pilot

8. 1984- The “Gamer Mom”
This cool photo of a “Gamer Mom” was shared by Redditor u/SirJohnUmfrevile. The user asks, “Had gaming chairs even been invented then?” Your mom is an OG defying gender roles and stereotypes.
9. 1958 Dorm Room
This beautiful smart woman in the photo is Redditor u/jumpedoutoftheboat mother seated in her dorm room at BYU in 1958. Redditor says, “She has dementia now, and it’s fun to imagine her as a hip college student.” Yes, that’s what photos are for. One photo triggers our imagination.
10. Tom Selleck fan moment in 1988
For those of you who do not know who Tom Selleck is, he is an American actor and film producer most famous for his role as Hawaii-based private investigator “Thomas Magnum” in the TV series “Magnum, P.I.” in the 1980s. 16. 1989- Matching Halloween costumes
Halloween is a time we all wait for! The crazy creative costumes, tricks, and treats are all we love. Here’s a photo of Redditor u/Dawnzarelli with her grandmom all dressed up in these beautiful hand-made Halloween costumes. Kudos to the efforts. Superman costumes never looked so cute!
17. 1976- A “Stranger Things” Look

Coming back to the topic, thanks to technology we have cameras to capture and cherish old moments for times to come. This makes me dig into my cupboards to find my old pictures and travel down the memory lane!
