Marvel Cinematic Universe is a vast place to be and is a house to incalculable characters. Some of the most notable characters that stand out aren’t Avengers, Thanos, Hela, Odin, and many more. But did you know that not all the MCU characters are as smart as they seem to be? Some of these characters are straight-up dumb and baffle us with their decisions. 1. Taserface

He was one of the Ravagers and was responsible for carrying out a rebellion against Yondu. But the guy was so dumb that he left everyone alive. First of all, he didn’t kill Yondu. Secondly, he left Groot alive which was a big mistake on his part. But his dumbest moment is when he didn’t break Yondu’s signature weapon, the Yaka Arrow. If you’re planning to usurp a leader, please make a concrete plan.

2. Trevor Slattery/Mandarin

People thought that Slattery was the real Mandarin but he wasn’t. He was hired by A.I.M., to play the said role. The reason why he’s dumb is that he took the blame for all the vicious attacks even when he wasn’t involved. But when his true identity was revealed, it was shown just how dumb he is in actuality and it all made perfect sense. He instantly became Iron Man’s nemesis.

3. Roger Harrington

Harrington is a science teacher at Midtown School of Science and Technology. Even though he has brains, he is surprisingly dumb enough to be not aware of his surroundings. After all the chaos ended, he claimed that he, “couldn’t afford to lose a student on a school trip. Not again.”

4. Topaz

The right-hand woman of the Grandmaster is a vessel of arrogance and negligence. her dumbest moment is when he is chasing Valkyrie. Thor, and Banner, and get distracted by fireworks resulting in a crash. What else could have been more important than chasing the three outlaws?

5. Drax the Destroyer

His dumbness is often masked by his humor and that’s why the fans don’t mind him being a numbskull. But his true moment of dumbness was shown in Guardians of the Galaxy when he called Ronan to Knowhere which almost killed him and Gamora.

6. The Other

He was the second-in-command to Thanos and even represented him in most of his dealings. However, his only fault was heer arrogance as he thought he’s as powerful as his leader. So when he addressed Ronan the Accuser and spoke down to him, Ronan didn’t entertain it for a second and snapped his neck off. He literally called for his death.

7. Red Guardian

Alexei Shoshtakov, aka the Red Guardian, is obsessed with being a super-soldier, and that too Russia’s first. But all that time spent in the prison seemed to have changed him and put him severely out of shape. However, his dumbest moment is when the prison guards were eating his fan goodies which he never understood why. And his obsession with Captain America is annoying.

8. Jimmy Woo

Woo really thought that he could outsmart Hanky Pym, Hope van Dyne, and Scott Lang. These three people are literally the smartest people in the MCU. Moreover, he doesn’t know how to talk to children which was clear when he tried to explain the reason for Lang’s house arrest to Scott’s daughter. However, Woo always worked for the greater good.

9. Skurge

Played by the great Karl Urban, Skurge made up for a fun element in Ragnarok. But that doesn’t mean that he wasn’t dumb. First, just like all of Asgard, he was fooled by Loki to believe that he is the real Odin. Second, he joined Hela to save his own life. But when he felt overpowered by the guilt, he sacrificed his life for the greater good.

10. Star-Lord

Sorry  Star-Lord, but what did you on Titan was pretty dumb. If only you could control your emotions for a wee bit, so much wouldn’t have happened. Of course, the story demanded it, but Peter Quill instantly became a hated character in the MCU even though it’s impossible to hate him. He even flaunted the Power Stone without knowing the true extent of the object.

11. Luis, Dave, and Kurt

This trio is a group of reformed criminals. But they still get into trouble every now and then, especially when they help their friend Scott Lang. Their plan was simply dumb as it included stealing Pym’s Ant-Man suit. Even though it worked well in the end, imagine the repercussions that these three could have faced.

12. Mantis

She is an empathetic alien who was raised by Ego. However, her dumbest moment came when she informed the Guardians of Ego’s plan. If it wasn’t for her bond with Drax, who knows what would have happened. Moreover, when she tried to subdue Thanos by calming him down, she stated that he feels grief. While we know he’s grieving over Gamora’s sacrifice, this moment led to the defeat of the Avengers and the Guardians.

13. Darcy Lewis

While Darcy played a major role in the Disney+ series WandaVision, she wasn’t exactly that smart in Thor. She studied political science at Culver University. Soon, she became Erik Selvig and Jane Foster’s assistant. But her choice to become a lab assistant while studying political science was really dumb, even for six college credits.

14. Ronan the Accuser

I mean, c’mon, he basically lost a dance-off. His downfall was destined the moment he decided to go against Thanos, who is far more powerful than him. But his list of enemies even included Xandar, the Ravagers, and the Guardians. Quill distracted him with a dance-off and hence, the Accuser died like a joke on Xandar.

15. Korg

For me, personally, Korg’s dumbness makes up most of his personality and is truly amazing. His dumbest moment off-screen though. In Ragnarok, he explains that he tried to start a revolution but he didn’t print enough pamphlets. As a result, he was captured and was thrown into the Contest of Champions to become a gladiator.

16. Baby Groot

Another character who’s dumb, but in an adorable manner and we don’t blame him for it. Baby Groot, when introduced, was still unaware of the world, so his moments in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 were funny and dumb which we don’t mind. Do you remember how dumb he sounded when he said, “I am Groot?” Funny, yes.

17. Thor

The God of Thunder isn’t always dumb as he has some sense along with brute strength. However, his dumbest moment came when he defied Odin, attacked the Frost Giants, revealed Loki’s true origins, got banished, and became unworthy. While we still adore him, his extreme side sometimes gets the best of him.

18. Thanos

The Mad Titan was the real big bad since 2018 and finally got closure in 2019 in Avengers: Endgame. It’s true that he has beaten Hulk to sheer embarrassment and has taken on the entire team of the Avengers, he is still pretty irrational and dumb. First of all, he thinks that a mass genocide will bring balance to the universe and is the only way. But more than that. he gave away the most crucial information to Thor which told him how to end the Titan. He said, “You should have gone for the head,” which is exactly what he did in Avengers: Endgame. Who gives it away like this?
