A lot of movie stars date co-stars given the amount of time they spend on the sets. Also, a partner that is in the same business supposedly understands better how the business works and the long trips away from home and family. Marvel stars are certainly no exception to this rule, especially because most shoots last about a year or so and actors have done multiple movies with the franchise in a span of a few years. While mostly it is rumours of hookups and the odd breezy romance that did not last, a number of them end up dating and there are even a few marriages that lasted. Here is a list of the most gorgeous movie stars that ended up in some kind of relationship on Marvel sets:

1. Dated: Elizabeth Olsen and Tom Hiddleston

The two actors appeared in 2015 in I Saw the Light and Age of Ultron. You might not remember Hiddleston’s character Loki in
Age of Ultron because it was cut from the movie as the early screenings revealed that a lot of viewers thought Loki was controlling Ultron. The couple was seen in Oxford together in 2015 and later at a couple of movie screenings. People close to them told newspapers that they were not serious but really cared for one another.

2. Just Friends: Benedict Cumberbatch and Liv Tyler

These two extraordinarily good looking actors met long before they did any work for Marvel. Liv Tyler was cast opposite Bruce Banner in 2008 and played the memorable Arwen in the Lord of the Rings.
Cumberbatch was Smaug in the Hobbit movie, and was later cast as Doctor Strange. A spokesperson for Cumberbatch however denied that the two were dating and said they were good friends who were spending time together. They had worked on the
play Phoenix(that spoke of a couple who had had a one night stand by the way) and this is where they seem to have met the first time.

3. Dated: Chris Evans and Jessica Biel

This was a long time ago, before Biel started dating Justin Timberlake. Biel had appeared in the Blade:Trinity movie as Abigail and Evans was in the Fantastic Four before taking the role of Captain America. They actually dated for five years – some reports speak of a Valentine’s date where they went
skydiving. They did two movies together Cellular and London. Apparently, the two were serious about getting married and starting a family but they eventually broke up. No reason was ever disclosed by either of them.

4. Dated: Paul Bettany and Jennifer Connelly

This is not known well but Jennifer Connelly actually stars as the robot voice that guides Spiderman in his new suit that Tony
Stark made for him. Bettany plays an android too – he is Vision, the Avenger that bears the Mind Stone. The two on-screen robots first met 17 years ago on the sets of A Beautiful Mind. Within two years, the two were married and now have two children.
Apparently, Bettany was so in love that he proposed to Connelly within the first year on phone. While the faux pas didn’t sit well, he eventually proposed again.

5. Just Friends: Tom Holland and Zendaya

The two stars from the Spiderman: Homecoming movie have been rumoured to have been in a relationship for a long time. They are
definitely a fan favorite but the two stars have laughed it off. On Twitter, addressing rumours that they had gone on vacation together, both joked that they had been to go on any vacation. Zendaya who plays Michelle Jones or MJ in the MCU has even
said that these rumours were a part of show business and there was no truth to them.

6. Dated: Robert Downey Jr. and Marissa Tomei

Iron Man and Aunt May may seem to have some chemistry onscreen in the Spiderman movie, and that may be because they dated back in the 1990s. Downey Jr. had a messy breakup with Sarah Jessica Parker but he is still close friends with Tomei. Amongst movies they have done together are Chaplin, Only You and Captain America:Civil War besides the new Spiderman movie. In fact, she is Aunt May because Downey Jr. recommended her to the casting agents.

7. Just Friends: Michael B Jordan and Lupita Nyong’o

The Black Panther stars may seem an odd combine, after all Jordan plays the villain in Black Panther Nyong’o plays Nakia,
T’Challa’s partner. The couple are definitely a fan favorite and have teased them with playful exchanged on Twitter. Apparently Nyong’o won a bet against Jordan and has
made the poor soul perform push ups at award shows and other red carpet events.

The Twitter exchanges between them were deleted but this only made fans suspicious that they were dating. The official line is that they are just friends. In fact, Nyong’o told reporters that they would not get an answer out of her when asked if the
two were a couple.
