Thanos got an opportunity to fight a couple of MCU superheroes, yet he missed some of them. From the God of Mischief to the ancient Mandarin, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has quite some variety when it comes to adding supervillains into the list. Yet none of the notorious and powerful villains is any closer to the mighty Thanos. As a result, the Mad Titan managed to cast a long shadow over the franchise.

With that being said, Thanos slightly featured in a few films before finally showing up in Avengers: Infinity War. However, in the last two movies (Infinity War and Endgame), the Mad Titan personally fought some of the MCU superheroes (the Avengers) – for example, Thor, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, and others. Yet, some of the Avengers never got an opportunity to face Thanos in the real battle (and vice versa). These are five out of many MCU superheroes Thanos missed to have a fight with –

Black Widow

Black Widow or say Natasha Romanoff was an assassin and an elite spy who used to slip into any army base or organization to get the key target for SHIELD. That is exactly what made her an ideal Avenger after all. Natasha knew her game but she was aware that she won’t be able to handle the Mad Titan. Apparently, or say, fortunately, Thanos never crossed paths with her in the MCU.

Sam Wilson is another Marvel Cinematic Universe superhero who never really crossed direct paths with Thanos. However, he helped to defend Wakanda when Thanos’ endless army showed up during the war. With that being said, if ever Falcon would have undergone a fight with the Mad Titan, he’d have surely retreated and called for a back-up.

Ant-Man

The thief who turned into a superhero, Scott Lang, used Dr. Hank Pym’s technology pretty wisely. The Ant-Man once faced the Wasp and also fought Tony Stark’s Iron Man at the Leipzig Airport. However, he didn’t get an opportunity to face the Mad Titan; even when he was right there during the final battle. While there are many jokes about Lang blowing up the Mad Titan, there has not been even a single interaction between both of them.

Hawkeye

When it comes to facing tyrants like the Mad Titan, Hawkeye is somewhat in a similar position like Natasha Romanoff. Much similar to his friend, he is skilled enough to handle the aliens or human soldiers but not someone like Thanos. Precisely, if they’d have ever crossed paths on the battlefield, it’d have been too much for Hawkeye to handle. Thus, fortunately, Thanos never fought Hawkeye and now that he is gone, the franchise can utilize the superhero well enough to develop the character on its own level.

Shang-Chi

While the martial arts hero, Shang-Chi, would have easily fought the Mad Titan, he got late to appear on the screen. With that being said, this MCU superhero recently debuted with Shang-Chi and the Legends of the Ten Rings and joined the franchise in its Phase 4. As a result, he failed to cross paths with Thanos (because the snap-war took place during the MCU Phase 3).
