Thor, the God of Thunder, has changed a lot over the last few decades. While some changes were assumed to be great, others annoyed the fan base. Here is how

The God of Thunder is perhaps one of the greatest superheroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Thor’s popularity has been phenomenal over the years, and now, those are one of his most intriguing periods. The resident bruiser has fought plenty of battles against the most powerful villains in the universe. That is probably why people and fans love him.

However, the God of Thunder is not that perfect. In fact, the true ‘Thor fans’ are annoyed with his transformation over the last couple of years. There are various ways in which he has changed and these make fans question their love towards him.

With that said, here are the top 5 ways in which Thor, the God of Thunder, has changed over the years –

Thor is not the same in the movies

1 22

Thor got popular because of the comic adaptation by Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, when Thor’s fans from the comic world watched his movies, they experienced a lot of differences between both the versions. While the comic version is hell-dead serious, the MCU version is still not so consistent.

There are only a few “Greatest of all time” stories

2 17

Thor is almost 1500 years old and there exist a lot of great stories about him. Despite being such a big part of the Marvel Universe, he really didn’t have had an opportunity to tell that many stories about him. The fans from the comic world know this; Thor’s stories are great but what has been told by the MCU till date is nothing but inadequate.

Thor’s supporting cast is not so great

3 15

Any character’s supporting cast is the main foundation of the story behind. While they could help the main lead to fight the battle on screen, the supporting cast also does things that the main character can’t. Thor’s supporting cast in the comic world includes the gods of Asgard. However, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Thor is mostly found falling short on getting support from other characters.

There is a fluctuation in his powers

4 13

Thor is known for his powerhouse ability. Being the ‘God of Thunder’, Thor’s power has been weirdly inconsistent in the MCU. While he sometimes get greatly powerful, in other stories, he gets defeated easily. This depicts a sheer sense of fluctuation in his power levels, which is quite annoying to experience for the true Thor fans.

Marvel Studio’s Ragnarok was way too much

5 13

Talking about the Ragnarok saga, it is no less an epitome of a storyline in the Thor mythos. While the comic version of Thor: Ragnarok is the greatest Thor story of all time, there was something wrong with its MCU version. Marvel loves to go back in time and recreates scenes too many times. It looks like every decade, Marvel brings a Ragnarok story and this has honestly stalled over the years now.
