The MCU has done its best to produce its films with the same goal in mind. The films feature a wide range of personalities that fans adore and appreciate. Unlike any previous superhero film before it, the MCU delves deeply into a character. However, during the first several years, the MCU was more focused on the Avengers and the characters connected with them. The greater issue, though, was the lack of female characters throughout these years. It’s understandable given that the original Avengers only had one female. As a result of this issue, many great women were forced to accept small roles. This list is dedicated to all of the big-name Hollywood actresses who deserve more screen time in the MCU.

6. GLENN CLOSE (NOVA PRIME):

In GotG, Nova Corps was introduced as Xandar’s law enforcement and defense authority. Centurion Nova Prime, the head of this intergalactic militia, was played by Glenn Close. It was first thought to be the perfect job for a pleasant and confident actress like her. However, before we could learn more about the character, the MCU chose to murder it off in Avengers: Infinity War. Thanos destroyed the Nova Corps in order to obtain the Power Stone from them. Glenn Close deserved a bigger part, but after witnessing her talent in GotG, Marvel may have something in store for her. Because Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers allegedly collaborated with the Nova Corps, Close might reprise her role in the forthcoming MCU film, The Marvels (2022).

5. MICHELLE PFEIFFER (JANET VAN-DYNE):

Since her depiction of the legendary Catwoman in 1992, Pfeiffer has been a fan favorite. And when her casting in the MCU was announced, her fans went berserk all over again. Pfeiffer was cast as Janet Van Dyne, Hank Pym’s wife and the original Wasp. Her portrayal in the MCU, on the other hand, did not do credit to her acting abilities. She has only had five minutes of screen time in the MCU so far, and her fans are clamouring for more. However, we may see her again in the MCU in next year’s Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania.

4. LETITIA WRIGHT (SHURI):

Shuri made her MCU debut in 2018’s Black Panther and quickly became a fan favorite. Because T’Challa is the monarch and the royal Black Panther, the other characters are frequently predicted. Her engineering talents and witty comebacks, however, did not allow us to ignore her presence. Despite the fact that she has not yet reached her full potential, The forthcoming film, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, will focus more on the prequel’s supporting cast. And it will be the ideal occasion for Letitia Wright to shine as Shuri on the big screen.

3. LUPITA NYONG’O (NAKIA):

In the 2018 film, Nakia was a powerful character. She was a spy, a fighter, and, above all, the king’s love interest. Her character, like Shuri’s, did not receive much attention. She was supposed to be a fascinating figure who was a female fighter outside of the Dora Milaje. Lupita Nyong’o outdid herself with her role. The previous film established her as the head of Wakanda’s International Affairs, so we may finally see her on the field rather than in the stands. Lupita Nyong’o is an Academy Award winner, and it would be a shame to see her skills wasted in the MCU.

2. ELIZABETH DEBICKI (AYESHA):

GotG Vol. 2 was an emotional roller coaster packed with action, humour, and drama. The Guardians faced two adversaries in the film, although only one received much attention. Ayesha was the Sovereign’s commander, and she attempted to murder the Guardians many times but failed each time. Ayesha was meant to be a gorgeous, haughty, and gentlewoman all at the same time. And Elizabeth Debicki nailed the role like she was born to play it. Her character, on the other hand, appeared in only a few scenes. Fans are thrilled for her to repeat this role to perfection now that she is slated to feature in the third episode. The last film’s post-credits sequence depicted Ayesha producing a new creature who would be the next stage in evolution, the notorious Adam Warlock. So far, Ayesha and Adam have been cast as the franchise’s villains in the final chapter.

1. LASHANA LYNCH (MARIA RAMBEAU):

Captain Marvel was the highest-grossing female lead superhero film of all time. The film was so well-crafted that it didn’t require a major male presence to succeed. Instead, the film offered the main character a best friend who adored and supported her. Almost every amazing scene in the film included her or her daughter. But it was her appearance in Disney+’s WandaVision that sent her to the top of the list (2021). She survived Thanos’ snap but died of natural causes, according to the show. Unfortunately, her daughter, Monica, was not present when this occurred. She was also one of the original members of SWORD. As a result, she was killed off just as the MCU was preparing her for the future. The MCU, on the other hand, might not squander Lashana’s skills on a dead character. They could yet have something in store for her in the next sequel, The Marvels. Maria was a fantastic character who did not deserve to die off-screen.
