At the end of Avengers: Infinity Wars, Thanos may have wiped off half the Universe’s population, killing a lot of great heroes, but that doesn’t still make him the most powerful villain in the universe. The Infinity Gauntlet with the United Infinity stones in his possession definitely gives him an advantage over his competition, but anyone could be harnessed by anyone with enough patience to unite the Infinity Stones.

Without his Gauntlet too, Thanos is no weakling of course. However, if he were to go against any of the people on this list, he would definitely be in some trouble.

So here are 6 Marvel and DC villains who Thanos would rather avoid without his Gauntlet:

1) Doomsday

Doomsday is the oddity of the list. While all the others have an intellectual strength to match their superhuman strength, Doomsday is, quite simply, a mindless savage who has a grudge against Superman.
Doomsday is an ancient Kryptonian monster who was created to be a weapon. With his rock hard skin and spikes, which he uses as both attacking and defensive tools, he is pretty much invulnerable to most attacks and feels no pain. His known powers include super-strength, speed and even flight. His powers are similar to Superman, including heat ray vision. His greatest strength is his ability to constantly evolve.

2)Apocalypse

Being one of the strongest beings in the Marvel Universe, Apocalypse was bound to be in this list. En Sabah Nur, as he was called, is a criminal mastermind and genius. He also has very strong psychic abilities and can manipulate the energy and matter around him. This combined with his strength makes him one of the most dangerous villains of the Marvel Universe.
Quite similar to Thanos, he too has his Horsemen Of Apocalypse fighting alongside him.

3)Phoenix

The Phoenix Force is a cosmic entity of immense and not fully defined power. It can create or destroy all life. It is commonly associated to Jean Grey, the mutant psychic. With the powers of Jean Grey combined with the Phoenix Force, it can very easily disintegrate anyone it wants and can also terrorise their minds.

4)Galactus

Galactus is one of the strongest entities of the Universe due to his connection to the Power Cosmic. Though not always a villain, he is often a foe of the Fantastic Four.
Other than his obvious size and strength, Galactus can also manipulate matter and energy. He is known to be a devourer of planets.
Galactus is also known to use “Heralds” as a way of announcing his arrival to a planet. Even Silver Surfer, Galactus’ most famous herald could greatly damage Thanos.

5)Darkseid

The ruler of the planet of Apokolips, Darkseid is one of the most ruthless and dangerous villains of the DC Universe. Although Thanos was seen on the big screen first, Darkseid debuted first in the comics.
Other than his super strength and flight, his Omega Beams are strong enough to destroy almost anything in the universe.

6)Magus

The physical manifestation of Adam Warlock’s evil thoughts, Magus is a very intelligent and powerful being. He established the Universal Church of Truth to spread his influence across the universe and thus sparking a 5000-year long religious struggle. His tyrannical rule led to the enslavement of countless organisms.
His powers include the ability to shoot energy bolts, super strength and intangibility. Other than these, he can also use his Cosmic energy to complement his strength.
He is so terrible that he made Thanos join up with the Avengers and Captain Marvel so that they might defeat him.
