There’s no denying the fact that Marvel is fully responsible for acknowledging the great talent of Chris Hemsworth. Playing Thor turned more work towards him, as he was able to star in Rush, Snow White and the Huntsman, Vacation, and other films. But besides Rush, most of his films were still not as big. It was Thor: Ragnarok that really made Chris Hemsworth huge. Suddenly, every studio wanted to work with him. Besides the MCU movies, he recently starred in 12 Strong, Bad Times at the El Royale, Men in Black: International, and Netflix’s Extraction. After these films, he took a year’s break, which has apparently been extended by the COVID-19 lockdown.

But now, he is going to be back even stronger than before. He is supposed to star in at least 6 upcoming movies, which he will film one after the other. We as fans are really psyched for all of these following entries:

Thor: Love And Thunder

Chris Hemsworth is ready to film the fourth installment in the Thor franchise. Obviously, this is his most anticipated upcoming movie as he might unleash the “Thor force” this time around. The production of the film is set to begin in January 2021, in Australia. It is known that the likes of Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie), Natalie Portman (Jane Foster), Taika Waititi (Korg), Chris Pratt (Peter Quill), and Christian Bale will be starring in the film along with Hemsworth. Since Pratt is returning, it is safe to assume that we will see the other Guardians actors in the film as well. Love and Thunder will bring in a second Thor as Jane Foster will turn into the Mighty Thor on February 11, 2022.

Untitled Hulk Hogan Biopic

Chris Hemsworth is currently getting jacked to play Thor, and Hulk Hogan. After Thor: Love and Thunder, he will star in Netflix’s Untitled Hulk Hogan biopic movie. Back in July, he revealed that the Hulk Hogan movie was “deep in development” as director Todd Phillips (Joker), and writers John Pollono & Scott Silver were working on the story. Hemsworth further promised that he will get even bulkier, and work on his accent to play the infamous wrestler. Well, we’ve seen how he has bulked up already. But he might get even bigger in the next month or so. The Hulkamania movie will focus more on Hogan’s success in the ring. So, we should expect a lot of wrestling from Hemsworth when he begins preparation for the role after Thor 4.

Down Under Cover

Avengers: Endgame directors Joe & Anthony Russo will be producing a buddy comedy action movie under their ABGO production banner. Chris Hemsworth is going to star in the film alongside Tiffany Haddish. It is currently unknown as to when the production for this movie would begin. But we could expect it to arrive in late 2022 or 2023.

Furiosa

George Miller is coming up with a Mad Max: Fury Road prequel centered on Furiosa. Unfortunately, Charlize Theron is not returning to play the character. But we understand why that is the case. Miller is going for a very young take on Furiosa, so Anya Taylor-Joy (Split, The Queen’s Gambit) has been cast for the role. And along with her, we’re going to see Chris Hemsworth. He is supposedly playing a character called Dementus, who is “scarred by a deep forehead wound stitched together with shiny chrome staples.” Along with Hemsworth & Anya Taylor-Joy, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is also a part of the film.

Spiderhead

Back in September, Hemsworth signed on for another Netflix movie, Spiderhead. Along with him, Miles Teller and Jurnee Smollett will also appear in the movie. Deadpool writers Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick are penning down the script, while Joseph Kosinski is going to direct it. The plot of the movie is not known yet.

Extraction Sequel/Prequel

Sam Hargrave’s directorial debut was massive as Extraction became the biggest Netflix Original movie ever. So, a second film in the franchise is inevitable. It is already under development, but Joe Russo has hinted that the it would be a prequel to Extraction. He and his brother are currently working on the story, which will explore the past of Chris Hemsworth’s character, Tyler Rake. But still, we shouldn’t expect the film to happen any time before 2023.

Other MCU Movies

Thor: Love and Thunder will not be Chris Hemsworth’s last movie as the God of Thunder. We suspect that he could also appear in Doctor Strange 2, Avengers 5 and probably even Thor 5. So, we’re looking forward to all those MCU films.

Which of these upcoming movies are you most excited about? Tell us in the comments section.
