Netflix has seen many creepy thrillers in the past few days. After You, Bandersnatch, The Haunting of Hill House, Birdbox left the audiences petrified of their own shadow. However, the streaming service isn’t stopping here as a new horror series is coming on Netflix to make your nights sleepless: we are talking about Chambers.
Welcome yet another horror series to Netflix: Chambers!
The weirdly scary series comes out tomorrow on April 26 and takes care of a high school student named Sasha who’s recovering from a heart surgery and while doing that she starts having weird visions, linking her to the girl whose heart has been implanted inside her.
Here’s the synopsis of Netflix Chambers :
“Sasha is a young teen whose heart stops and she immediately gets a new donor heart. After her heart transplant, she doesn’t feel the same. Haunted by eerie visions and sinister impulses, she tries to unmask the truth behind her donor’s mysterious death.”
The trailer sees Sasha saying, “I just want it to go back to the way it was before. It’s just so weird that someone had to die for me to live.”
Tony Goldwyn and Uma Thurman plays the parents of the deal girl who’s heart has been implanted inside Sasha to save her life.
The grieving couple is welcomed by the two but over the series’ course, the mental state of the teen starts to unravel as she’s seemingly becoming more connected to the dead girl.
Here’s what the show creator of Chambers, Rachel Leah had to say:
“At the heart of it all, just to be really cheesy, it’s a story about identity, and female identity, and adolescent female identity – which is a psychological horror in itself.
“Even though this story obviously has such huge stakes and goes into the supernatural and horror realms, it’s a story about a girl fighting to retain her identity in a world that’s trying to tell her who she is.”
Chambers will be out on Netlfix tomorrow, April 26.
