All It Takes Is One Bad Day: MCU Heroes Who Would Make Epic Supervillains

MCU has an amazing number of villains and each of them turns out to be better than the other with all their intelligence and evilness. Currently, Thanos is regarded as the best villain and it’s no surprise since he’s been a real threat. And then there are villains such as Winter Soldier, Killmonger, and Hela who are also loved by the fans.

But would heroes, whom we love so much could make into great villains? Just in case they decide to destroy the world rather than protect it! Let’s have a look at how they would do.

1. Scarlet Witch

When we first met Scarlet Witch in Avengers: Age of Ultron, she was a villain. She blamed Tony Stark for her parent’s death and wanted to take her revenge. As a result, she ended up siding with Ultron for the same, but she ends up fighting along with Avengers and even ripped the heart of the robot after her brother died.

We have already seen how powerful she is and she successfully created such a powerful hex in WandaVision. After the events with Thanos, she has become too powerful and many fans had expected her to be the antagonist in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. We can’t wait to see what she brings next!

2. Thor

Thor can get egoistic at times, so it’s not a surprise when he calls himself the strongest Avenger. And as a matter of fact, he could be. He was able to hold against Hela in Thor: Ragnarok and was the one who came closest to stopping Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. And, he also overcame his demons to stop Thanos in Avengers: Endgame.

In case the God of Thunder went on to become evil, it would prove to be a task to successfully stop him. Also, only a few Avengers could go near him especially when he has his Mjolnir or Stormbreaker in his possession.

3. Captain Marvel

You can love her or hate her, but can’t deny that Captain Marvel has some AMAZING powers! She has consumed the power of the cosmos and is the closest thing to being “walking” Infinity Stone. Thanos also realized this when he attempted to headbutt her in Endgame and was unable to.

She has played a major role when it came to her helping Avengers against the Mad Titan. And possibly, the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes could have even lost without her help. So imagining her on the bad side, the villains would already have great support.

4. Doctor Strange

Doctor Strange has insane powers, he can open up the multiverse and even send people back!!! Come on. Thanks to Marvel’s What If…? on Disney+, we have had a glimpse of the Sorcerer Supreme aka Evil Doctor Strange.

Instead of Strange injuring his hands in the accident, Christine Palmer dies in this reality. Strange is desperate to get her back and gets absorbed in dark magic which makes him more powerful. This ends up turning him into a monster, literally as well as metaphorically. So when Christine is back, she is horrified by him and he is left broken. He is a man who sacrificed everything for someone he loved and it didn’t fall into place. Though the animated series did end with him having change of heart, the trailer of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has something else. We can’t wait to see how Doctor Strange goes head to head against the Sorcerer Supreme.

5. Hulk

Hulk is one of those heroes who can easily become a villain in a different reality. He can get extremely violent and he even acts without thinking much. Yes, he is a good guy in MCU but has caused a lot of damage too. Many times he has to be kept in check by Tony Stark and Black Widow especially when he is about to cross a line.

These qualities would make him a dangerous villain and would prove to be a great addition to the bad guys. And the 2023 version of Bruce Banner is quite dangerous since he not only uses his fighting skills but even his brains at the same time. That’s a deadly combo.
