The 36-year-old Amber Heard‘s lawyers have reportedly filed a new 68-page appeal against her former husband, Johnny Depp arguing the fact that the verdict was held in the wrong state, submitting multiple claims to validate their argument.

As per New York Times, Heard’s attorneys also argued against the jury’s decision to exclude certain pieces of evidence such as contemporaneous notes from therapists that they say document allegations of abuse.

“The trial court improperly prevented the jury from considering several separate instances in which Heard reported Depp’s abuse to a medical professional,” the lawyers stated.

They have asked the court to reverse the verdict, either by dismissing Depp’s claims or going for a new trial entirely.
