American actress Anne Heche, who rose to prominence by giving her versatile performance in television shows and movies spanning four decades, has passed away at the age of 53. She was widely known for portraying roles in movies like Donnie Brasco, Volcano, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Six Days, Seven Nights, Return to Paradise, and many others.
Earlier this month, she got injured in a car accident and never gained consciousness. However, she was temporarily on life-support treatment for potential organ donation as she had always wanted to donate her organs. She will now be living in a new body as the recipient has been found.
A Short Brief About Anne Heche’s Car Accident?
On August 5, Anne Heche got severely injured after crashing into a Los Angeles home. While the accident was very serious with almost no chance of living, she survived and had been in a coma for a week with a “severe anoxic brain injury,” where her brain became deficient in oxygen. On Friday, she was declared ‘brain dead’ in California according to the representatives.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, she had consumed substances before the car crash incident. Though, being legally dead, she was on life-support treatment temporarily to check if she may be a match for a potential organ donation as she had always wanted to donate her organs.
Anne Heche’s Organs Have Been Donated
The late actress’ representatives told PEOPLE this Sunday, “Anne Heche has been peacefully taken off life support” with rumors circulating that the donation had already been done however the recipient is yet to be known.
While her family grieved over the late actress stating that they have lost “a bright light, a kind and most joyful soul, a loving mother, and a loyal friend.” The statement continued with her family stating, “Anne will be deeply missed but she lives on through her beautiful sons, her iconic body of work, and her passionate advocacy.
While her family has lost a precious gem, Heche’s light has been transferred into a new body that will keep that light and actress alive.
