Peyton Reed, who helms Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania has recently revealed that the principal photography on the Marvel film is over. To celebrate this occasion, the director took to social media by posting an artwork by Mark James Hiblin. The artwork features the head of Ant-Man as they face an unknown danger. While we don’t know much about the film yet, Quantumania will bring back Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly together for yet an adventure. Kang the Conquerer will be the major villain in the film with Jonathan Majors playing the role. He has already made his debut in Disney+’s Loki as He Who Remains. However, other than these details, it seems like the plot will mostly deal with time travel. After all, if you would remember Endgame, it was Ant-Man’s idea to try time travel in order to get all the Infinity Stones. All members of Avengers are currently dealing with their personal fallouts from the decision to use the Quantum tech in Endgame. Whatever is in store for Ant-Man, one thing is certain – it will be really exciting.

While talking to Comicbook.com, Peyton Reed talked about how Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne’s Dynamic figured into the next Ant-Man film.

“There’s definitely a lot to discover about Janet van Dyne, and when we talk about the fact that she’s evolved as a result of being in the Quantum Realm for 30 years, we’ve seen a little demonstration of that, but we really have yet to learn kind of how she’s evolved and what she’s like as a person,” he mused. “That’s something that we just scratched the surface of in this movie, so I definitely would be excited to further that story.”

Evangeline Lilly also spoke on Lights, Camera, Barstool about the increased scope of the next adventure by Ant-Man and the Wasp.

“So, Ant-Man, the brand, has always existed outside of the Marvel Cinematic Universe mythology machine,” she began. “So, we’ve had a lot of freedom to kind of come and go as we please, and like, make stories that are stand-alone little pieces, sweet family pieces. And definitely, the breadth of this one is… grander.”

She also talked to Collider, addressing the contribution by Marvel writer Jeff Loveness on Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

She told Collider that she thinks Jeff is phenomenal. “I think he’s one of the best writers we’ve ever had. I think he’s got an incredible mastery of voice,” Lilly explained. “So, on the page, I could hear all the characters, and I knew that he’d really kind of harnessed each person’s unique personality. I just think that it’s going to be really special. I actually think it has the chance to be the best one we’ve done yet.”
