‘Are You OK, Mommy?’: Angelina Jolie’s Kids Were Right There When Brad Pitt Allegedly Assaulted Her, Brad Pitt’s Reply: “No, She’s, Not OK!”
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were once one of the most famous couples in the world. The two first met on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith while the actor was still married to Jennifer Aniston. It is also speculated that the actor split from the Friends actress because of his relationship with Angelina Jolie. The two stayed strong for a long time and even share six children, but their relationship ultimately broke down in 2016 after an argument between the two on the family’s private jet in which the actor lost his temper.
Brad Pitt physically and verbally abused Angelina Jolie
According to Page Six, on Sept. 14, 2016, the couple was flying to Los Angeles, and during the flight, the actor physically and verbally abused his then-wife, Angelina Jolie. The couple was not alone, their six children Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox, were also present when the incident took place. The World War Z actor had been drinking when he “grabbed her by the head, shaking her.” In a fit of anger, he also punched the roof of the jet a couple of times and blamed the Maleficent actress for “f—ing up” the family.
Brad Pitt almost hit one of his children before Angelina Jolie stepped in
Concerned about their father’s behavior, one of the children asked their mother,
“Are you OK, Mommy?”
The actor replied to the child and said,
“No, she’s not OK, she’s ruining this family, she’s crazy.”
The children defended their mother and one of them stated,
“It’s not her, it’s you, you p—k!”
The child’s reaction further angered the actor who rushed toward the kid, possibly to harm him, but the actress stepped in due to which she suffered injuries on her body. The actress did submit the images of the injuries as well as other documents such as her children’s journals to the FBI. The abuse did not stop here and allegedly the actor poured beer over his then-wife and stopped her from taking the children to safety.
Brad Pitt’s behavior was inexcusable
However, despite the actor’s actions, the United States attorney and the assistant United States chief of the Criminal Division decided not to file any charges against him. The recently revealed documents stated,
“This author provided both AUSAs copies of a probable cause statement related to this incident. After reviewing the document, representative of the United States Attorney’s Office discussed the merits of this investigation with the case agent. It was agreed by all parties that criminal charges, in this case, would not be pursued due to several factors.”
The actor’s actions were not at all justifiable and did leave a huge scar on his reputation. Moreover, it doesn’t seem like Angelina Jolie is over the incident since she allegedly filed a suit against the FBI under a pseudonym for not taking proper actions against the actor.
