If there’s one thing that the fans of CW’s Arrowverse have wished for since the beginning, it’s a crossover with Smallville. Now a photo shared by Arrow star Stephen Amell has added sparks to the rumours of it actually happening.

Amell posted a photo featuring Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum, who played Superman and Lex Luthor in Smallville, sitting around a table with a caption, “Pretty excited about this one…”

The photo does seem much, but when you look at the photos from the upcoming “Elseworlds” crossover which appears to show a familiar location to Smallville fans, ie. the Kent farmhouse and the fact that Supergirl has already referenced Chloe Sullivan, a character that was created exclusively for Smallville series. It’s also worth mentioning that John Wesley Shipp who starred in the ’90s The Flash series is also suiting up in his classic 90’s costume in the crossover, so it’s possible that Rosenbaum or Welling may pop up, although Welling has said before that he isn’t up for playing Superman again.

There has been no official announcement regarding this and the details of Amell’s photo may be hinting at a different sort of crossover, one with ‘wine’ variety. As we know that Amell owns Nocking Point Wines and the picture appears to be in the conference room for NPW. You can even spot a few varieties of wines in what appears to be a tasting with two of the wines having labels indicating their future releases.

Earlier this year, Nocking Point launched “Dirtbag” a red wine blended by Aquaman star Jason Momoa who’s an old friend of Amell’s. Before that, they released “Pacific Coast Pink” which was developed by Arrow star Emily Bett Rickards and Colton’s Cab, a wine Colton Haynes helped with.

Whatever the story is, fans are certainly excited to see the Arrowverse/Smallville stars together and are even more excited for the upcoming Elseworlds crossover, which is the best crossover till date, according to Amell.

“The crossover is f*cking bananas,” Amell said during a recent Facebook live. “It’s crazy… I think that this will be the best crossover event that we do. And not just the best but the best by a really, really wide margin. And I think last year was fantastic.”
