If we compare both the franchises, then both of them are dark and gruesome fantasy worlds. Both have a ton of death, and the world around them is based on betrayal. This, of course, has led to comparisons and people are claiming that the resemblance is uncanny. Now, one of the main reasons why Game of Thrones was such a big hit is that it included appealing elements like political drama and interpersonal dilemmas, all the while holding on to magic and dragons. On the other hand, Attack on Titan did somewhat the same thing. The fate of the people is the central plot, but it also includes their battle against humongous Titans. This helps people relate more to the story and it feels a little more human. Hence, the approach was pretty much driven from GoT but some changes were surely made. Moreover, apart from the reliability factor, both the shows have some ultra-violent scenes and it makes up for the perfect adult scenes. Both the shows draw the audience close to a character and kill them off!

Now, one of the most important aspects that Attack on Titan drew from GoT is that it is controversial as well. The only problem with GoT was that its quality started to fall in the later seasons. This happened because all the books by George R. Martin had been adapted. Yes, the same thing happened with Attack on Titan manga as the source material was simply over. So, this goes on to say that the ending of both shows was hated by the audience. Is there any similarity that you can find? Check it out!
