No one knows what exactly will happen in Avengers 4 but it seems like there is one fan who just came up with something totally heartbreaking.

This came via Twitter user @quill_rocket who came up with the theory that the post-credits scene of Avengers 4 might give a callback to Captain America: The First Avenger with Steve Rogers finally getting to have a chance to have his dance with Peggy Carter in the afterlife.

Steve and Peggy’s first dance has come forward quite a few times across the MCU. It began as an inside joke for the two but everything took a heartbreaking turn when Steve got frozen in ice, only to wake up years later in present day. We have seen Steve imagining his dance with Peggy Carter during a dream in Age of Ultron.

However, it’s really early to decide if Avengers 4’s post-credits scene will actually focus on a Steve and Peggy storyline, keeping in mind all the different arcs the film will wrap up. Reports have also suggested that Avengers 4 will have some scenes from the 1940’s era and it may even have a scene featuring Peggy Carter.

Whatever one might say, fans should anticipate the unexpected in Avengers 4, as most of their favourite veteran characters come to an end. Earlier Christopher Markus said,” Avengers 4 isn’t anything what people think. The film will be a different one from others and that, the deaths are real. The sooner you accept that, the better it gets.”

“[Avengers 4] doesn’t do what you think it does,” Infinity War and Avengers 4 co-writer Christopher Markus said earlier this year. “It is a different movie than you think it is…Also…[the deaths are] real. I just want to tell you it’s real, and the sooner you accept that the sooner you will be able to move on to the next stage of grief.”

“Put it this way,” co-writer Stephen McFeely said. “I think [Infinity War] is a fairly mature movie for a blockbuster. It’s got a lot of fun in it, obviously, but boy, it gets very mature. The second one is also mature. We’re going to own these choices, and hopefully surprise and delight you and get you invested. It’s by the same studio, the same filmmaking team. They were written at the same time, shot at the same time. They’re clearly connected, but they are definitely two different movies, one of which is dependent on what happened previous.”
