Of all the characters in the MCU, few have had a rougher go than the God of Mischief Loki. The lesser Son of Odin has been assumed dead in many of his appearances, to changing degrees of success, however as Thanos said toward the start of Avengers: Infinity War…

“No more resurrections.”

The Mad Titan commenced the film by murdering Loki, among others, in what could be the character’s last appearance in the MCU. Yet, one theory looks at some conceivable pieces of information, possibly revealing that the God of Mischief’s comeback is everything except inevitable in Avengers: Endgame.

Directors Joe and Anthony Russo have clarified that the character deaths in Avengers: Infinity War would affect the fate of the MCU, and Kevin Feige has prodded that these individuals won’t be restored.

In any case, they also said the sequel’s title would not be Avengers: Endgame, and we all know how that turned out.

While the character won’t be restored outright, we do realize that Tom Hiddleston’s Loki will return in some limit with regards to the film. Set photographs revealed Loki with Robert Downey Jr., however, there were a few questions concerning the nature of these scenes given the setting.

Rumours towards time travel are heavy, with the greatest example being the Avengers returning so as to the Battle of New York when Loki drove Thanos’ Chitauri powers in an attack attempt.

Since the trailer for Avengers: Endgame was extremely restricted in what it revealed, showing us just the outcome of Thanos’ snap from Infinity War, we don’t generally know whether time travel will majorly affect the storyline.

We also know that the character will be the prime focus on its solo Marvel Studios series going to the Disney+ service, though details concerning the show are rare right now.
