The new Avengers: Endgame trailer was out last week, and we see Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper) saving the universe from the Mad Titan (Josh Brolin). We didn’t expect our beloved rabbit to fight neck to neck with Thanos but we do expect him to fight. And yes, we do see him fight, and that too in a brand new suit!

Why do we think that this is exciting?

Well, this is the same comic accurate suit from Marvel’s comic heyday! It was previously revealed in the Super Bowl spot, but this second full-length trailer shows us a better look at Rocket’s suit. To add to our excitement, this time we also see him wearing a pair goggles! This suit comes straight from Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning’s Guardians of the Galaxy (2008) story.

If you recollect, Rocket is the only member alive from the Guardians of the Galaxy while everyone else was dusted, apart from Gamora, who was murdered in Avengers: Infinity War. While the fan-favourite character paired up with Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Groot (Vin Diesel) on a mission in Infinity War, Rocket is seen here entering battle on the shoulder of War Machine (Don Cheadle).

Future of the Guardians

After Endgame hits the theatre, the future of Guardians is still doubtful. But, Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige has said Guardians of the Galaxy 3 will still happen, despite the firing of James Gunn.

He previously shared:

“I mean, when it was pushed back, it was pushed back…..meaning the release date, because it’s not coming out—although we’ve never announced a release date actually, but it was gonna happen sooner rather than later, initially of course. Outside of knowing that we’re gonna use [James Gunn’s] draft, [we have] been focusing on other projects.”

Avengers: Endgame releases worldwide on April 26, 2019.
