This week’s Batman #57 sees The Dark Knight and KGBeast battling in the middle of nowhere, surrounded with ice.

For those who don’t know, the KGBeast is a deadly soldier who gives Batman more than a run for the money. He even gets the upper hand on Batman on occasions, leaving him bloodied as a result.

Batman ultimately unleashes his Grappel Gun to KGBeast’s face and the collision from the shot snapped his neck. KGBeast then asks Batman to help him saying that if he gets him help, he will tell him who hired him to kill Nightwing.

Batman may have won the brutal fight, but he was left bloodied too. He replies to KGBeast saying, got a bullet in my arm and a body of hurt. There’s a 300 click walk ahead of me. Through nothing but snow and ice.”
Spitting out some blood, he continues, “I’m the world’s greatest detective. I’ll find out who hired you. And I will break them too. You can get your own damn help.”

The Caped Crusader then walks away, leaving KGBesst bloodied on the ground with a snapped neck without seeming to be worried about helping him.

Written by Tom King, Batman #57 is out in stores now. Here’s what the official description says:

“The KGBeast isn’t working alone. As the Cold War between Batman and the Russian killer heats up, Batman’s nose for mystery gets to twitching when he suspects there’s more to the KGBeast’s attacks than initially thought. Not only does this tie back to the court case Bruce Wayne sat on involving Mr. Freeze, there’s another villainous Gotham ghoul in play—but whom?”
