Ben Affleck Releases Official Statement Following Rehab & Addiction Treatment

An official statement got released by Ben Affleck, where the actor has addressed his stint in a rehab, as the actor keeps on battling his problems with alcohol addiction. This comes right after a recent report stating that the actor is working hard to get back in shape for Matt Reeves’ The Batman.

Affleck has always been a controversial choice for Batman when he was selected to play The Dark Knight in Zack Snyder’s BvS: Dawn of Justice. He received praise for an older portrayal of the character. He has since appeared twice, first in a cameo in Suicide Squad and later in Justice League.

While Reeves is working hard for the next solo Batman film, Affleck is also sweating himself to get back. The actor joined a rehab to address his alcohol addiction issues. Here’s Affleck’s statement:

Initially, Affleck was supposed to write, direct and star in the Batman film but after his failure at the box office with Live By Night, Affleck gave away his responsibility and Reeves came into the scenario. The confirmation of Affleck’s further involvement seems sooner than later, as the film is slated to begin in Summer 2019. Meanwhile actor like, Jon Hamm (Mad Men) and Kit Harington (Game of Thrones) were also linked to the film.
