Several members of the Justice Society of America were revealed in the first trailer for Black Adam, the next episode in the DC Extended Universe. The heroic squad first appeared during the Golden Age of Comics but was later surpassed by the more popular Justice League. Hawkman, Doctor Fate, Atom Smasher, and Cyclone will all appear in Black Adam, and will most likely begin as antagonists to the titular protagonist before teaming up against the true villain. With this squad now a part of the DCEU, the way is clear for more, including these heroes.

Here Are Classic JSA Heros Who Should Join The DCEU Next

Hawkgirl

Black Adam
Hawkwoman – Hawkman

Hawkman, the leader of the JSA, will be played by Aldis Dodge in Black Adam. Being a reincarnated Egyptian royalty, his roots are rather complicated, which he shares with his better half, Hawkgirl/Hawkwoman. Despite the fact that she is one of DC’s oldest female superheroes, having originally appeared in 1940, she has been one of the most underutilised in recent years.

Green Lantern (Alan Scott)

A deleted sequence from Zack Snyder’s Justice League would’ve introduced John Stewart, the Green Lantern, to the DCEU, and a Green Lantern Corps. film is reportedly in the works. Despite the fact that little information about the film has been released, there is no shortage of characters who could feature, including the original Green Lantern, Alan Scott.

Flash (Jay Garrick)

Black Adam
Flash (Jay Garrick)

While Barry Allen and Wally West are known as the Flash, they are just following in the footsteps of the first Flash, Jay Garrick. He’s been in The Flash and Young Justice as a supporting character and mentors to the main Flash and his sidekicks, but he’s never gotten that treatment in a live-action film.

The Spectre

Black Adam
The Spectre

The JSA isn’t made up solely of heroes. Spectre, one of the founding members, is somewhat of an anti-hero, acting as the divine and all-powerful Spirit of Vengeance. He is very powerful due to his godlike skills, but he needs to be tethered to a human host to keep his power in check.

Mister Terrific

Michael Holt as Mister Terrific, another member of the JSA, is undoubtedly one of the most cerebral heroes in the comics, and if he appeared in the DCEU, he’d rival Wonder Woman and even Batman as the franchise’s smartest. His odd T-shaped mask and intriguing T-Spheres are his most recognisable features.

Wildcat

Wildcat

DCEU, including Batman, Black Canary, and Superman, over the years. Wildcat, a long-time member of the Justice Society of America, is the heavyweight boxer’s nickname. He has nine lives, just like his namesake cat, which allows him to function as a superhero and combatant at such a young age.

Given his ties to other DC characters, the chance for Wildcat to debut in the DCEU appears to be ripe. The best location to see her would probably be in the next HBO Max feature Black Canary, with Jurnee Smullet returning her role as Dinah Lance from Birds of Prey.
