Many Star Wars fans have been posting on social media about The Book of Boba Fett, including MCU’s Black Panther star, Winston Duke (who played M’Baku). The actor went on to take on the social media site yesterday to give away some similarities between his character in Marvel and Boba Fett, who is portrayed by Temuera Morrison.
“Watching @bobafett use M’baku’s knobkerrie… I think that means I should get to use a lightsaber… It’s only fair! @starwars make it right,” the actor joked.

As of now, Duke is already in production for the upcoming Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which is slated to hit the theaters this year despite all the delays in production. After the death of Chadwick Boseman, fans have been quite eager to see how the MCU sequel will be focusing on some other characters. As reported by The Hollywood Reporter previously that may include a much larger role for some of the first movie’s breakout stars. According to this report of theirs, Duke went on to negotiate “a hefty raise” for his return in the movie, which resulted in getting “a much-expanded role in the Panther mythos.”
Getting back to The Book of Boba Fett, the series is all set to have three more episodes to be premiered and had earlier teased an exciting finale, which will be hitting Disney+ on February 9th. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Ming-Na Wen (who played Fennec Shand) had to stop Morrison from saying too much about “Chapter 7” befire its debut. “Yes, full of surprises. The Book of Boba ‘full of surprises’ series,” Morrison quipped. “Yeah, we’ve got some good stuff coming up. Ooh, wait till episode seven, wow!”
The spinoff to The Mandalorian follows Shand and Fett as they struggle to fight for control of Jabba the Hutt’s criminal empire on Tatooine. Wen and Morrison’s tease arrives midst the rumored return of a Star Wars icon, but for now, the actors aren’t really giving away anything. However, in an interview with TVLine, the actors had teased more exciting characters.
“Oh, yeah. We’re not allowed to mention too much about these incoming actors, but yeah, we look forward to it,” Morrison replied when asked if audiences should be on the watch for upcoming villains. “That’s just the beginning. There’s some colorful chaps coming in to upset the works and that’s a part of this wonderful series, too, the introduction of all these elements that come in all shapes and all kinds.”
The initial four episodes of The Book of Boba Fett are now streaming on Disney+.
