Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have entered into another legal battle. The ex-couple whose ongoing drama related to a French winery had a turn of events. They purchased the Chateau Miraval winery in 2008. In a recent development of the battle, a business formed by the actress has now filed a $250 million lawsuit against Brad Pitt.

Brad Pitt sued his ex-wife in a bombshell case claiming that she broke the deal they made during their marriage. They both bought Chateau Miraval S.A., a residence and vineyard in the south of France, in 2008. The former couple decided that the vineyard will become a family company for their kids. Pitt and Jolie made a commitment not to sell their shares in the company without the consent of the other. While committing this Jolie secretly sold her shares to Tenute del Mondo.

Brad Pitt and Angeline Jolie brought the Chateau Miraval winery in 2008 for an amount of $28.3 million. It was Pitt’s vision to turn the vineyard into a company for their kids. The ex-couple agreed to not sell their interest in the company. However, Jolie sold her shares to a company without her ex-husband’s consent. The Bullet Train actor sued his ex-wife for selling her part of shares.

Pitt had invested a significant amount of time and money into making the vineyard successful. At the time of his divorce from Jolie, he said she acknowledged the major investment done by him. 

In 2021 Jolie told Pitt she had an issue owning an alcohol company and wanted out of the business. He claimed of looking for a buyer for her investment. Things took a turn during their custody battle. When the judge gave a decision in favor of Pitt, the actress backed out from the talks about the vineyard. She even secretly sold her part of shares to a company called Tenute del Mondo.

Although after winning the winery battle with Pitt, Jolie and her company filed a new suit against Brad Pitt for $250 million. This new case brought up many things about the ex-couple and their investment in the vineyard. Brad Pitt also claimed that Jolie is “refusing to produce any documents” prior to the judge hearing her request.

Brad Pitt and Angeline Jolie met in 2003 while filming Mr. & Mrs. Smith. They separated in 2016, but their divorce proceeding lasted for years. Even their custody dispute relating to their children is still in process. The actor was accused of being abusive by Jolie towards her and her children.

Their recent vineyard and residence Chateau Miraval in the South of France is the place where they enjoyed several family vacations and even got married.
