In an interview with Variety, Weta VFX supervisor Sean Walker revealed some fascinating details about Shang-post-credits Chi’s sequence. Walker claimed that the entire scenario was completed in four days. He stated:

I basically sat two compositors and two effects artists together and told them, “Come up with anything and let your creativity run wild.” They completed the full sequence in four days.

He also provided information on the whereabouts of the different characters in the scene. Awkwafina and Simu Liu, he said, were on other stages, and Mark Ruffalo was somewhere else completely. He says here:

[Ruffalo’s Bruce] was in his own lab, but we needed to bring them all together for one last shot.

The biggest surprise for viewers was seeing Banner in full Bruce Banner form. This was not the case the previous time we met him since he was in the Smart Hulk mode, which contained the best of two options. There is no apparent sign that he has taken complete control of Hulk yet since they expected Smart Hulk to be the finest conceivable option. However, his appearance in a laboratory might be related to the events in the upcoming Disney+ series She-Hulk. Throughout the series, the character is expected to spend a large amount of time in his laboratory. She-Hulk will debut on Disney+ later this year.
