Chris Rock and Lake Bell Spotted Together, Stirred Romance Rumors
Comedian Chris Rock and actress Lake Bell were recently spotted together on a dinner date at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, Calif – Saturday night. An eyewitness told PageSix that Rock and Bell were holding hands while walking out of the restaurant, but immediately got apart when they saw the photographers.
This is not the first time the celebrities were spotted together. Previously they were seen enjoying a baseball game between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Pirates on June 13, 2022, at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. At the 94th Academy Awards, Rock was slapped by The Pursuit of Happyness star Will Smith as the former joked about the actor’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith’s bald look. The comedian joked that Smith’s wife looked like the GI Jane protagonist. For the unversed, Jada Pinkett Smith suffers from alopecia, a medical condition that makes hair fall which is why it offended the actor and his wife.
Though Rock apologized to the couple after the remark, he shared that he won’t talk about the incident in public until he books a comedy special, except for a few jokes here and there.
He said, “People expect me to talk about the b*****t. I’m not going to talk about it right now. I’ll get to it eventually on Netflix,” he said. He added, “Anyone who says ‘words hurt’ has never been punched in the face.”
While Will Smith publicly apologized to the comedian following the Academy banning him from attending their ceremonies for a decade.
