The Winter Soldier star Georges St-Pierre recently backed his character Batroc to return in a future Marvel Cinematic Universe film or TV show.

St-Pierre discussed the villainous mercenary’s MCU future during an interview with Sherdog.com. “[Batroc’s] gonna come back 100 percent,” the former MMA fighter said. “He always comes in and out of things, you know what I mean? He’s gonna come back with a vengeance next time for sure. He’s gonna bring his brigade and he’s gonna be angry.”

Batroc debut in The Winter Soldier, where he heads a group of pirates who hijacking The Lemurian Star, a ship that was secret S.H.I.E.L.D. double for satellite launch platform.

When Captain America gets his hands on the Lemurian Star with Brock Rumlow, Black Widow, and his strike team, Cap is challenged yet again by Batrock for hand-to-hand combat. The mercenary lost his skills and the fight, as his skills were no match for Rogers’ enhanced strength.

After his humiliating defeat, Batroc gets apprehended by S.H.I.E.L.D.Batroc who made an appearance in the series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier on Disney+, as the leader of the organization LAF. This do not go well between Batroc and  successor Sam Wilson twice in the show’s six-episode run and that has given fans hints that he could be the first villain of the series, who Sam fought and took the shield. He is later killed in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Episode by Sharon Carter.

Marvel Studios hasn’t announced if St-Pierre will return to reprise the Batroc role, either in another MCU project or Captain America 4. His co-star Sebastian Stan’s future also remains dubious, as the actor isn’t really aware of what plans are for Bucky Barnes in  the future MCU. Stan has also confirmed that he would play Bucky again if he is invited to do so. “As long as Marvel keeps calling, I’m there… I’m just going for the ride,” Stan said.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier are streaming on Disney+.
