The first trailer of Captain Marvel is already out and has raised many questions but might have answered one of the biggest questions in one quick cut-shot.

The new trailer features Jude Law’s character, who is the commander of the Kree special forces unit. We see him in a close-up but it was actually the scene towards the end of the trailer that grabbed our attention.

When we spot Law initially, he’s wearing the same suit as Carol Danvers but Danvers later dons her red and blue suit. So it’s possible that she gets the suit towards the mid-way point of the film or the end of the film, and maybe that’s why they show a closeup of her fist in red gloves.

Okay, so if she’s wearing red gloves, she’s already Captain Marvel at that point. The way she’s clenching her fist in that quick scene, it suggests that she’s really angry and is about to battle the other faded figure in the scene. The person is a bit faded but one can easily spot that the character is wearing a silver and green suit.

This doesn’t look like Roman or Korath though it could be one of them too. Despite all the haze, this kind of looks like Jude Law which means that we may get to see an epic fight between Carol Danvers and Jude Law, or at least that’s one possibility out of the many.

But if this is true, it means that Law isn’t Mar-Vell and is based more on Yon-Rogg than the hero that inspires Danvers in the comics. And if he is Mar-Vell, he looks a lot different than the original version.

The film will be set in the 1990’s and will be showing an unseen period in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film will show the journey of Carol Danvers as she becomes the most powerful hero while Earth is caught between a galactic war between two alien races

Captain Marvel will hit the theatres on March 8, 2019.
