CW President Confirms Existence Of Batman In Arrowverse; No Plans To Bring Him Anytime Soon

According to the recent rumours, CW is currently working on further expanding the Arrowverse. Even President Mark Pedowitz has confirmed that Batman does exist in the television universe. However, the Caped Crusader will not appear or get his own series anytime soon.

Pedowitz spoke to Entertainment Weekly recently where he confirmed that Batgirl will be set in Gotham but it won’t introduce a Batman right now.

“There’s no discussion about a series. Batman already exists in the Arrowverse because last season Oliver Queen mentioned his name at one point. And Batwoman, if the series goes forward, lives in Gotham. There’s no plan at this time to have Batman appear.”

The episode Pedowitz referred to came in the last season when Mayor Queen rejected the possibility of him being Green Arrow after a picture of Green Arrow appeared Channel 52 News. This also included Bruce Wayne, thereby confirming the existence of Batman within the Arrowverse.

Vampire Diaries writer Caroline Dries is currently working on the script of Batwoman. The series even has Geoff Johns on board as the executive producer.
