DC: James Gunn From ‘The Guardians Of The Galaxy’ To Direct Another Superhero Movie?

It has been a very few days that The Suicide Squad is revealed to the fan base. With that said, many strongly believe that James Gunn is something that the DCEU could offer the best. After appearing in the comic book adaptation named Guardians of the Galaxy franchise in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, James thought of making a similar impact in the DC Universe as well.

After producing and making around a dozen movies in the last eight years, Warner Bros is seemed to be struggling with whether to continue a soft-reboot gamble or continue the attempts at continuity in the DCEU. But now, it looks like they have chosen both.

Warner Bros is now putting their fortune and money on James Gunn. They have assigned the character with The Suicide Squad despite being unaware of how the fan base of both the Universes would take it.

In a recent interview, the President of the DC Films, Walter Hamada, confirmed that the Director of The Guardians of the Galaxy, James Gunn, will be returning to another DC Film after Suicide Squad. He stated that “He’ll be back. We have more stuff planned.”

Even the franchise head also praised Gunn’s work by saying, “Gunn is always welcome back, whatever he wants to do. He really has a vision, and he’s a great partner with us. Whenever he wants to come back, we’re ready for him.”

While the spectacular director has already wrapped his upcoming HBO Max project, The Suicide Squad, Gunn is the first time he is confirmed to get an opportunity in a future DC project.

Since 2013, the DC makers have always been looking for someone like Kevin Feige from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There have been continuous backlash and controversies around the fans and the actors to make up and handle this void.

Despite Zack Snyder’s Justice League’s severance on HBO Max, some fans wonder what could be the thing that Warner Bros would have committed to Snyder. While they are still arguing on his vision with #RestoreTheSnyderVerse on social media platforms, the makers are probably looking out for opportunities to revive another visionary project.
