Fans who simply can’t wait to see DC’s Aquaman solo film will have an opportunity to watch it early, provided they have a subscription to Amazon Prime. Warner Bros and DC films have so far faced a tough time trying to match the success of Marvel Studios and Disney’s shared superhero universe would be an understatement. MCU has continually been ahead of DCEU in both critical sentiment and box office take.

Despite the criticism faced by Man is Steel and Batman vs Superman, both Zack Snyder films have their share of admirers, with BvS standing out as the highest grossing DCEU film till date. Wonder Woman became the first DC film to be praised by critics and was also a hit at the box office. Justice League, however, was a disappointment but it’s likely that film’s troubled production and director swap is held responsible for that.

No matter how many ups and downs have been faced by DCEU, fans still remain committed to the franchise and are always hoping for the best. DC’s next outing is next month’s Aquaman, featuring Jason Momoa reprising the role he played earlier in Justice League. Reactions to the trailers and marketing have been fairly positive and if nothing else, James Wan’s film looks like a virtual feast. The film will hit the theatres on December 21 but according to a new report by Release News, Amazon Prime subscribers will be offered the chance to screen it 5 days prior to that. That is Saturday, December 15.

The screening will take place at 7 PM at selective theatres nationwide. Regal Cinemas, Cinepolis, ArcLight, Bow Tie Cinemas, Showcase Cinemas and Studio Movie Grill are some theatre chains given to be taking part. Tickets will be available for Prime Members to purchase soon.
