The heart touching short story, titled “From Our Family To Yours,” begins in 1940. When a young girl gets a Mickey Mouse toy as a gift from her father. Fast forward to 2005, the young girl, who is now a grandmother herself, gives the toy to her grand-daughter. Then, both of them makes star-shaped paper design for their house that is similar to lanterns. Similar to the Philippines at the beginning of the video. One heart touching detail is that the grandmother is addressed as Lola, the term used for grandmother in the Philippines.

However, as time flies, the animated video shows that the granddaughter is slightly losing interest in meeting her Lola for their annual tradition. One fine night, the now-adult granddaughter goes outside. Only to come home later to find out that the Mickey Mouse toy lying thrown in the living room, without a ear. She was touched by looking at her family photographs with the Mickey in them. The granddaughter finally decides to bring back the holiday spirit that she and her grandmother used to share.

The ending is too emotional to see through all of the tears. But the next morning, Lola comes down to find out that her living room was filled with star-shaped decorations. Suddenly, she’s lost to her childhood, when the lanterns would hang above on the streets. Then, the grandmother has gifted a Mickey Mouse toy with its broken ear, sewn back. Both share a loving embrace and then the camera reveals the slogan that says: “From our family to yours.”
