Fans have discovered a potential link between Doctor Octopus and Iron Man in No Way Home:
In Spider-Man: No Way Home, fans identified a possible relationship between Doctor Octopus and Iron Man. A Twitter user spotted that a picture promoting Alfred Molina’s comeback as Doctor Octopus in No Way Home reveals Doc Ock with a new look. Previously, the villain’s signature tentacles were cast in steely greys and silvers to indicate their industrial origins. The fresh look at Doc Ock’s additional appendages, on the other hand, indicates that they will be red and gold at some point in the film. This color scheme is the characteristic appearance of Iron Man armor, implying that Tony Stark’s legacy may continue to haunt Peter Parker.

Since Spider-Man’s MCU debut in Captain America: Civil War:
Since his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man has been inextricably tied to Iron Man: Tony Stark’s influence was a major motif in the first two MCU Spider-Man films. With Spidey wearing the Iron Spider suit in No Way Home, it appears that Stark will continue to be a major part of being the hero, thus it should come as no surprise that he would power up another another of Spider-Man’s enemies. Doctor Strange appears to be stepping up as the principal grief-giver in Spider-life Man’s in the aftermath of Tony’s death. The Sorcerer Supreme’s mind-boggling link to the multiverse is central to No Way Home, with his acts apparently shattering the borders of reality. His participation also appears to establish Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which, as the name indicates, will deal with comparable challenges to reality. Strange 2 will be directed by Sam Raimi, who previously directed Spider-Man.

Imagine telling someone who just saw Iron Man in 2008 that this scene where Spider-Man is attacked by Doctor Octopus from another universe wearing the suit Iron Man made is in the same universe as the film they just saw pic.twitter.com/oJNcNpg4gs

The Link Between Doc Ock & Iron Man:
Though the connection between Doc Ock and Iron Man has yet to be proven, this isn’t the first time Spider-fans have dug for vital information before it became public. Following the publication of the first teaser, fans realized that the Lizard was lurking in plain sight, and that an Empire magazine hinted at the appearance of the Sandman. Both were thought to be wishful thinking at the time, but current information appears to support the appearance of both Sandman and Lizard, proving that the fans were correct all along. With No Way Home looking to the classic Spider-Man films for adversaries, fans have been wondering if it would also bring back previous Peters. Recent set photos appear to indicate that the film will revisit Andrew Garfield’s lair from Amazing Spider-Man. Furthermore, Holland’s Peter Parker wears the same suit as Tobey Maguire in Spider-Man 3. Whether or not these allegations are true, Spider-Man: No Way Home will be one of the winter’s hottest tickets when it reaches cinemas on December 17.
