A defamation case in which Johnny Depp has been accused of domestic violence is now under trial and could see the Hollywood star removed from the blockbuster film franchise. The concept that Dwayne Johnson will step in for the actor has already found favor with backers of the franchise. The idea seems like a win-win situation for all involved. Though the verdict is yet to come and things might change accordingly.

Also, on the other hand, Joachim Rønning mentioned that Johnny Depp’s return for Pirates of the Caribbean 6 is very uncertain.
