Personally, we love to see how Spider-Man has grown over all these years. While Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland’s versions of Spider-Man have been spectacular too, Tobey Maguire will always be the OG for all of us.

The original trilogy was spectacular and there have been so many actors that we forgot they were there in the original films. Well, remember Betty Brant? She was J. Jonah Jameson’s secretary in the very first film. Elizabeth Banks played the character.

Can you imagine her pulling off Mary Jane? But that’s true. She revealed in an interview that she wanted to play MJ. Here’s what she said, “I was brand-new in the business when the audition came across my desk … I remember being told to wear flat shoes. I wore my hair in, like, pigtails probably or something ridiculous, to feel like I was in high school. Tobey and I are basically the same age — and I was told I was too old to play her.”

On Harassing Tobey Maguire:

During her interview with Variety, she recalled one particular day during the production. Have a look at:

Tobey was on a really strict diet — he was vegan or something before that was a big lifestyle choice. I think he was just trying to be as fit as possible, obviously. And they brought In-N-Out Burger to the set one day. We started rehearsing the scene, and I was still eating my burger. And Tobey was pretty offended that I was just like, ‘I’m just gonna eat this burger in front of you that you’re not allowed to have for many reasons. I teased him about that. And he teased me.

Apparently, she ended up eating her meal at Betty Brant’s desk only that day. But of course, these all were fun memories.

Spider-Man was a super hit when it was released and it made $100 million in the opening weekend itself! Of course, the second and third installments were massive hits too! Sam Raimi is a genius and we all agree about that! He is finally returning to Marvel with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and we can’t wait anymore!
