Star Wars is a phenomenon which can’t be matched by anything else in the realm of pop culture. So it’s definitely amusing and hell of a lot surprising that the one thing which gained unprecedented popularity from the new Star wars film is Kylo Ren. Or to be more specific- it’s Emo Kylo Ren.

If you have even peeped into the Star Wars fandom then you will know that the term Emo Kylo Ren is pretty frequently used. The Emo part is just put there by fans to exaggerate the personality and qualities of the big bad villain of the Star Wars trilogy. But what we are talking about here is a twitter account which kind of started it all. This account is a gem which remixes the problems of Adam Driver’s Star Wars villain with the diary of an emotional teenager. As one can expect, it addresses a lot of funny things which would never be talked about in canon. Everything from Hot Topic, the resurrection of My Chemical Romance, Jared Leto’s Joker, his father Han Solo and more is tweeted about. But with the release of The Mandalorian on Disney+, the account has taken aim at the series.

The account is run by Washington Post writer and satirist Alexandra Petri. She said to SyFy Wire last year that:

“I left the theater after Force Awakens thinking, ‘This guy is clearly ridiculous. I waited a while and [the internet] still wasn’t full of jokes about how ridiculous Kylo Ren was, and that was the only content I wanted to consume. So, finally, I was like, ‘I need to be the change I want to see in the world.’ So I started the account. Because I just had so many jokes about this guy.”

Taking Aim At The Mandalorian For Kylo Ren

The account tweeted:

“oh so now it is *cool* to wear a helmet and be a baby for decades.”

Check out the tweet below:

This is a reference to the fact that in The Mandalorian, Pedro Pascal’s title character has yet to remove his helmet. Star Wars fans will remember that this was a trait shown by Kylo in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Kylo’s repaired helmet will be back in Rise of Skywalker.

The baby part of the tweet is obviously a reference to Baby Yoda who has captured hearts since his debut. The being “a baby for decades” is a reference to the fact that Yoda’s species ages so slowly that even at 50 years of age, it’s still a baby.

The account is currently sitting at 810 thousand followers while only following Hot Topic and a Darth Vader parody account. With Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker about to release in a month, we are expecting more hilarious content from the account. Also, did anyone check out the Baby Yoda account?

But till then check out this new tvspot from Rise of Skywalker:
