“Everything for Mark is settled with love and sexy time”: Kelly Ripa Claims She Can Never Have Serious Relationship Problems With Mark Consuelos, Reveals Husband Always Uses ‘S-x’ to Solve Everything
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos have been happily married for over 25 years and apparently, a major reason behind their successful marriage is active intimacy, or as they like to call it “sexy time”. Ripa and Consuelos are not your regular reserved and prudish couple. They have never shied away from baring the steamy details of their long-standing marriage. Ripa has even written a crazy s*x story featuring her husband, in her memoir Live Wire: Long-Winded Short Stories.

Back in September 2021, Kelly Ripa had her husband Mark Consuelos over to co-host Live With Kelly and Ryan with her, in place of her usual onscreen partner, Ryan Seacrest. And what did the couple talk about? Marriage.
HBO’s much-speculated drama Scenes From a Marriage was streaming around that time, and obviously, the Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain red carpet arm-kissing moment had made the show the talk of the town. Ripa and Consuelos also delved into discussing the show that cracked open the nuances of marriage and how challenging the institution truly is.
However, according to Ripa, who is nothing less than a veteran at being married herself, does not think that marriage has to be that complicated and dark. She said,
“I was like, none of this would ever be happening in the Mark Consuelos household, because he would have nipped all of this in the bud immediately. Because everything for Mark is settled with, everything is settled with—”
The missus however rectified the answer, and said, “Love and sexy time.”
Although the Riverdale actor tried establishing that s*x is not the answer to every issue in their marriage, Ripa replied, “Just about almost everything.”
Now there’s a couple who knows how to keep the spark alive.
How Kelly Ripa experienced love at first sight
The couple got married at a young age when they were both 25 years old and have been inseparable ever since. They had met in 1995, only a year before they tied the knot, on the set of All My Children. Ripa talked about her experience of love at first sight with her future baby daddy on Radio Andy’s Lunch With Bruce.
“I saw my husband in a photograph before I saw him. I knew when I saw his photograph. I was not a hopeless romantic. I never thought about getting married; it never occurred to me that I would grow old with someone. I just thought I would be living my single-girl life in the city and sort of like moving…. When I saw him, the photograph of him, I saw my entire future with him flash before—like I saw it.”
The two went on to have three kids together: Michael, 25, Lola, 21, and Joaquin Consuelos, 19. Their answer to marital conflicts might sound simplistic but it’s indeed remarkable if intimacy has the power to bridge gaps. Nevertheless, it is one important lesson for failing marriages everywhere.
