Hot Toys has released new Spider-Man: No Way Home toys based on Spider-Man’s black and gold outfit, with a closer look at Doctor Strange’s changes. Following Mysterio’s shocking reveal in the mid-credits of Spider-Man: Far From Home, Tom Holland’s titular webslinger will team up with Benedict Cumberbatch’s Sorcerer Supreme to help clear the world’s memory of his secret identity as Peter Parker in the latest instalment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise. Their efforts will unintentionally backfire and open the doorways to the universe, resulting in the arrival of villains from other Parker worlds and the need for them to send the villains back before it’s too late. Along with Holland and Cumberbatch, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Favreau, Marisa Tomei, J.B. Smoove, and Benedict Wong return in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus, Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin, and Thomas Haden Church’s Sandman from Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy, as well as Jamie Foxx’s Electro and Rhys Ifans’ Lizard from Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man series, will join the MCU to fight Holland and Cumberbatch. With the multiverse’s portals open in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Holland’s youthful webslinger will have to use more than his typical powers to rescue the planet, and we now get a closer look at how he’ll do so.

Long before the first trailers for the film were released, fans were given their first glimpses of the new Spider-Man: No Way Home outfit with various action figures and began speculating on what it represented for the tale. The one thing that became evident from these numbers was that Spider-Man’s black and gold outfit would endow the webslinger with Doctor Strange’s mystical powers. The newest Spider-Man: No Way Home teaser did show this being used briefly as the hero revealed the red power rings around one of his arms in a confrontation against Foxx’s Electro. The new Hot Toys Spider-Man: No Way Home figure provides an excellent fresh look at the changes Doctor Strange has made to his black and gold outfit, particularly around his web-shooter wrists, which appear to be packed with more technology than previously for the magical abilities. With new footage from the film suggesting Parker is charged by the Sorcerer Supreme with returning the different villains to their own realms before the fabric of time and reality unravels, the use of magic is undoubtedly important in bringing them down. Only time will tell how the outfit will be used in the film, which will be released in theatres on December 21.
