The first Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City video has arrived, giving us our first glimpse at the zombie dogs in the survival horror flick. The next installment in the horror genre will be a remake of the Constantin Films-produced series, which is based on Capcom’s renowned video games of the same name. The narrative focuses on a group of survivors who travel to Raccoon City to uncover the truth about a deadly virus that has been released on the globe and its connections to the villainous Umbrella Corporation.

The official Resident Evil Twitter account has revealed the first video for the forthcoming reboot, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, with little over a month until its release. The video features the first glimpse at the film’s zombie dogs and Lisa Trevor, as well as the announcement that the first full trailer would be released tomorrow.

The zombie dogs of Capcom’s Resident Evil titles are some of the more fan-favorite foes in the genre, thanks to the famous jump fright they provided in the original 1996 release. The first glimpse at the zombified dogs suggests a larger version of the animals than in the games and Paul W.S. Anderson’s Resident Evil movie, as well as a CGI portrayal rather than the actual ones shown in the first film. Though the latter feature may turn off some viewers, the horrible visual design for the dogs is likely to be an intriguing first tease for enthusiasts. Take a look at the teaser below:

Furthermore, the initial Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City clip appears to show a glimpse of another fan-favorite adversary, Lisa Trevor. Roberts has been quite vocal about his attempts to further extend her character from the games, as well as to delve into the horror parts of the source material vs the action-oriented style of Anderson’s movie, both of which Trevor’s brief presence clearly evokes. When the Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City trailer is released tomorrow, only time will tell.
