Foggy Nelson Cast After He Accidentally Did A FaceTime Audition
Netflix’s Daredevil has a new partner now. Marvel just announced on Thursday that they had cast Elden Henson (of Grey’s Anatomy) in the role of “Foggy” Nelson. Also, he is the best friend of Matt Murdock, also known as Daredevil (played by Charlie Cox) for the miniseries ‘Daredevil’ on Netflix.

“Foggy” Nelson played a fictional character in American comic books published by the Marvel Comics. He is basically a supporting character, a romantic rival and best friend of Matt Murdock.
Moreover, the duo imagined for live-action as a part of Netflix’s Daredevil show. But, Elden Henson was able to secure this role due to an accidental on-brand technical fault as he accidentally did a facetime audition.

According to Daredevil star Charlie Cox, Elden Henson was cast accidentally after he did a FaceTime audition sidewise. Surprisingly he was holding his phone completely wrong.
He was also quoted saying that “The story I’ve heard about Elden, which I don’t know if I’ve ever spoken to him about it is the accidental facetime audition and this is kind of what helped him get this part. Apparently — he did this audition on iPhone, but they were watching it live, the studio was watching it, Jeph [Loeb] was watching it live. But, then he filmed it, and he was holding it the wrong way around, so they all had to watch his audition like this [tilts head.]”
Cox also adds, “Because, he was holding it incorrectly, the phone. And, they asked him, they were like, ‘It doesn’t really matter how he did it.’ That is Foggy. That’s exactly what Foggy would do.”
Further, Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s Head of Television quoted saying “We’re thrilled to see Foggy Nelson as an incredibly talented actor. He perfectly captures the heart and soul of this series and will play the perfect role for this character.”

Daredevil has cast with Charlie Cox (as a Stardust) playing the blind lawyer/superhero Matt Murdock. Also, Vincent D’Onofrio as the Kingpin, and Rosario Dawson in an unrevealed role. Marvel has also cast Rosario Dawson and Vincent D’Onofrio in this series about a New York City attorney. All the three seasons of Daredevil are streaming on Netflix.
