We all have that one friend who’s life got taken over by Fortnite, don’t we? Well, that’s like the worst aspect of the game; it’s very controlling. Fortnite has been found out as extremely addictive, and a new report reveals that the game has been cited in over 200 divorces.

This report comes via U.K. resource site, Divorce Online that reveals that a well over 200 couples cited Fortnite and other games, as a reason behind the divorce.

The report further reveals that Fortnite has featured in around 5% of the total 4,665 divorces in the U.K. so far in 2018. However, this date is only limited to the United Kingdom only but it does give us a pretty good idea of the relationship between Fortnite and divorces.

Now, if we add the data collected from the United States on the same, we get some really amazing numbers; seven to eight times more than that of U.K. So, across both countries, the number is somewhere around 1,200 divorces.. and counting!

This research doesn’t take non-marital relationships into account and we’re sure that many couples have broken over Fortnite. The number is largely depressing.

Fortnite is available on Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and mobile devices, however, it shouldn’t be played too much, if you value your marriage.
