No one is immune to crimes, even high-profile celebrities. There are some criminals and gangs who specifically target these higher echelons of people in pursuit of bigger crimes and rewards. This was shown by the bling ring gang which was active back in 2008 and 2009. Though the original Bling Ring gang has been caught, it seems some sort of doppelgangers of the original are here to terrorize even more stars. According to sources, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might also be on the target list this time.

Other targets might include the Friends star Jennifer Anniston and Maroon 5‘s Adam Levine.

The Bling Ring Gang is a gang of teenagers and young adults looking for fame and money through robbery. Back in 2008 and 2009, a group of 7 people broke into a bunch of high-profile homes. They stole almost $3 million in cash and kind from the homes of several estates of high-profile celebrities. Jennifer Anniston and Meghan Markle both received a warning from the Montecito association recently.

Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Department is installing six license plate recognition cameras

The Sheriff’s Department of Santa Barbara County is installing six license plate recognition cameras around Montecito. Montecito is the celebrity hotspot of the town. The association of Montecito issued a warning recently that informed them of installing these cameras. The mail said, “These crimes are being committed by sophisticated out-of-the-area theft gangs.” These cameras cost almost $2500 a piece and are being installed to find who was in the area when a crime was committed.
