The socialite was Paris Hilton’s personal assistant in 2006 that helped Kim Kardashian in getting a lot of recognition back in the day. Very soon, their friendship took a hit as Paris Hilton made unnecessary remarks about Kim Kardashian’s butt in 2008. The socialite was shocked as she did not expect this from her childhood friend. Kim K has also stated in the past that she was only friends with Paris Hilton because she wanted fame.

Back in 2006, when Paris Hilton was a relevant celebrity, Kim Kardashian decided to hang out with her in order to gain recognition. The two were friends since they were “little girls” and knew each other through a common friend, Nicole Richie. However, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie got into a feud in 2006 and the socialite quickly swooped in to take the BFF spot. It was later revealed that Kim Kardashian’s intention was to use Hilton to get media attention. She said,
“We’d go anywhere and everywhere just to be seen. We knew exactly where to go, where to be seen, how to have something written about you.”
However, things took a turn as Paris Hilton’s statement about Kim Kardashian’s butt in 2008 did not sit well with the socialite.

In April 2008, Paris Hilton stated that Kardashian’s butt looked like “cottage cheese stuffed in a trash bag” which seemed to be the beginning of a feud that lasted for a very long time. Even though Hilton later apologized to the socialite, things were not fixed. After 2011, the two completely stopped speaking to each other. The socialite later addressed her fall out with Paris Hilton,
“We don’t really talk. As I always say, everyone comes into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. And she was in my life for a long time … There comes a point in life where you just grow apart and you realize you’re not as similar as you thought. And I never run into her anywhere. Isn’t that so weird?”
It seemed like their friendship completely came to an end, however, in 2019, they reconciled.

In 2019, Kim Kardashian went to Paris Hilton’s birthday party, and even celebrated New Year together, indicating that they decided to squash their beef. The SKIMS mogul even praised her old friend, “She’s sweet and kind and brilliant. I’m so proud of her and impressed with her becoming a lawyer.” So as of today, seems like the two are on good terms.
