Bell replied, “I would… like to officially announce, with zero authority, Frozen 3. Please bear in mind I did say ‘zero authority because I can’t do that. I can’t do that. No, I’m not in charge.”

After stating firmly that she doesn’t really have an official say to announce yet another movie, Bell did express her interest in turning the musical duology of Frozen into a possible trilogy, quipping, “Well, you know, I’m… I’ll keep it mysterious, but I know Idina [Menzel, who voices Anna’s sister, Elsa] recently said she would do it and I feel like if we’re all in, like, what are we waiting for? Let’s do it.”

Will Disney Announce Another Sequel Soon?

Frozen 2

Frozen 2 was released on November 22, 2019, almost six years after the first movie took the fans by surprise, causing American parents to hear the “Let It Go” on repeat.

While Frozen saw Arendelle princesses Anna and Elsa, played by Menzel grow closer to each other than before, the sequel saw the two move away from each other, taking down different paths, although they still do not forget to stay in touch. While Anna goes on to become the new Queen of Arendelle, Elsa lives in The Enchanted Forest with the Northulda people among a few other elemental beings.

Disney is yet to announce a sequel to Frozen. Their upcoming project which would soon release starring one of the characters from the movie is Olaf Presents premiering on Disney+, getting back Josh Gad’s singing snowman. The short series resumes a gag from Frozen 2 where Olaf goes on rewind the events of Frozen, and they made him do it for other Disney fan favorites as well, including Moana, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, The Lion King, and Tangled.

Like Olaf Presents, no sequel to the original movie has been announced at the time of this writing, the forthcoming animated project releasing on Disney+ is going to be the Baymax! series, which will resume the story of the Big Hero 6 robot.

When the movie came out in 2014, it got overshadowed by Frozen, thanks to its musical success. Obviously, Big Hero 6‘s story will see a young superhero team, making it to the small screen for a three-season TV series, which premiered its final season in 2021.

Frozen and Frozen 2 are available on Disney+.
