Gerard Piqué, Shakira’s ex-lover, recently made his relationship with his new girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti, public on Instagram. It comes seven months after Piqué and Shakira announced their separation in June last year and a few weeks after Shakira released a diss track, allegedly about the former soccer player. According to reports, the new album is about her ex-partner and his new girlfriend.

In a photo shared by the former soccer player on his Instagram account, he and Clara Chia Marti can be seen sitting close together on a restaurant patio. The duo wore all-black outfits and smiled cheekily at the camera.
He appears to have received some backlash from his fans and followers for the post with Marti, 23. The second he shared a picture with his new girlfriend, hate comments started flooding his post.
A user wrote, “I’d have felt ashamed.” A second comment read, “She doesn’t compare to her children’s mother.” A third comment said, “Clearly, the jam-eating job is open.”
The music goddess allegedly discovered her ex was cheating on her because a jar of jam kept disappearing while she was away from their home.
Why did Shakira and Gerard Pique break up?
Reportedly, neither the former soccer player nor their children, Sasha and Milan, enjoy jam. Consequently, the Waka Waka singer inferred that someone must have been visiting the house and eating it while she was away. Earlier this year, she alluded to this situation in her song Te Felicito.
A few months ago, she released another diss track called BZRP Music Session #53, slamming Piqué, Marti, and their age gap. It was mentioned in the song that the Columbian singer was “worth two 22-year-olds.” Additionally, Shakira stated that Piqué downgraded from a Ferrari to a Renault Twingo, as well as from a Rolex to a Casio, stating that she was far superior to Piqué.

In spite of the couple’s split in June last year, neither Piqué nor Shakira have mentioned accusations that he cheated on her shortly after they parted ways. However, he has been linked to 23-year-old Clara Chia Marti since the couple broke up.
