As per a new report, Sony Interactive Entertainment and Sucker Punch’s forthcoming PlayStation 4 game, Ghost of Tsushima will release in the latter part of 2020. As one may be aware, of the rest three massive PlayStation 4 exclusive, Death Stranding, Ghost of Tsushima and The Last of Us part II, we know at least something about the samurai game from Sucker Punch. We’ve seen a bit of Death Stranding and we know it will be releasing on 8th November. On the other hand, we haven’t seen much of The Last of Us Part II except the fact that it finished its capture work this past month, suggesting that it may release late this year or early 2020.
Ghost of Tsushima To Arrive Next Year?
Then comes Ghost of Tsushima. We haven’t seen too much but whatever we know, we are aware that it will release anytime soon. As a result, many fans have suggested that it’s going to be a cross-gen release that will come in late 2020. This may be the case but as per Jason Schreir of Kotaku, the 13th century game will arrive in the first half of 2020, alongside The Last Of Us Part II.
This has gotten a lot of Reddit attention so some clarity: I've heard from three sources that Cyberpunk was aiming for 2019, but belief around the studio was that it was an unrealistic target. I expect first half 2020 or maybe even an E3 announcement of 2019, then a delay to 2020 https://t.co/8QsOatEFfJ

This claim which comes from the Kotaku journalist rose from an interaction with a Twitter user who seemed skeptical enough for many games to release in 2020. However, according to Jason, it’s all true.
Will we get the game for PlayStation 5 too?
We’ve been hearing that Ghost of Tsushima will release between late August and the launch of PlayStation 5 in the fall. In all other words, what’s being stated by Schreier here seems to be conflicting with what we all have heard about the game. It seems extremely odd for the game to release close to The Last of Us Part II and most likely leave you lighter in fall window. That being said, the sources of Schrier tend to be really reliable so it’s possible that the game will release in the first half of 2020. However again, one should take all this info with a grain of salt. This is unofficial information but things do change as the game goes into development.
Ghost of Tsushima is underway for PlayStation 4 and most likely PlayStation 5 too. At the time of writing of the article, there hasn’t been any word on the release of the film.
