Recently, Jordan Peterson got suspended on Twitter and said he “would rather die” than delete the tweet about Elliot Page that got his account suspended. One of the main reasons why Elon Musk decided to purchase the platform was that people should be entitled to speak their opinion without being punished for it as long as it’s not breaking the law.

Hate speech is not punishable by the law but it is still morally incorrect

Jordan Peterson recently revealed that his Twitter account got suspended and he could get it back within 12 hours if he deleted a tweet in which he talked about the days when Pride was a “sin” and referenced the “criminal physician” that performed surgery on Elliot Page.

Elliot Page is currently ignoring Jordan Peterson’s actions which makes complete sense. His decision to not respect Elliot Page’s wishes to not be called by his former name is wrong, but Elon Musk thinks he is within his right to do so.

Will Elon Musk lift Jordan Peterson’s Twitter ban

Elon Musk reacted to Jordan Peterson’s tweet

He reacted to Jordan Peterson’s Twitter ban after a Twitter user directly asked him what he thinks about this ban, to which he responded, “Yeah, they’re going way too far in squashing dissenting opinions“. This clearly implies who Elon Musk sides with in this debate.

If Elon Musk takes full control of Twitter, a lot of problematic people will return to the platform

As soon as Elon Musk gets the green light to own Twitter, people like Jordan Peterson will be allowed to write about anything on the platform.

There is a possibility that people like Jordan Peterson or even Donald Trump might return to the platform if the billionaire takes full control of Twitter. Jordan Peterson talked about the tweet after his ban, he said,

What was it that I said that caused such a fuss? What exactly was it that I said that resulted in the ban? It is clearly the case that I did not promote violence against or threaten anyone with my missive. So that leaves the arguably lesser sin of harass. Let’s assume, since I wasn’t informed that that was the crime, and further harassment on the basis of so-called ‘Gender Identity’ since Twitter did not do me the favor of actually specifying my crime.”
