Avengers: Infinity War had a really vast Star-cast that left the audiences amazed and now the upcoming Avengers 4 will bring in more heroes like Ant-Man and Hawkeye who were absent during the events of Infinity War. For all we know, Avengers 4 will be the biggest crossover in the entertainment history till date.

However, the film might also see the return of a few villains who may aid Thanos in his battle against the Avengers. Rumours have suggested that Red Skull might make a return in Avengers 4 along with Crossbones and even Ultron!

But if there’s one team up, we’d love to see, that’s Hela and Thanos’ and as we know that MCU has not adapted the ‘Lady of Death’ storyline in their films and this led many fans to believe it might be likely that Lady of Death’s role changes with that of Goddess of Death, ie. Hela.

However, this doesn’t mean that they share an intimate relationship like the comics but the two can definitely team up together against the Avengers. And to be honest, their powers combined will be totally unmatchable.

We saw Hela getting defeated in Ragnarok but that doesn’t mean that she’s dead! I mean, SHE IS THE GODDESS OF DEATH, she just can’t die like that! And since we already have heard various rumours regarding the return of several dead characters, it’s highly likely that the film might see the return of many villains too.

We don’t have any confirmation to this theory yet but Cate Blanchett, who plays Hela did tease a possibility of her return. While speaking to Fandom, when the actress was asked about her return, Blanchett replied with, “Sure!”

Even Jack Black, her co-star from upcoming The House With a Clock commented on this saying that we never actually see her die, she just goes into a huge ball of flame!

The actress replies, “Yes. That looks pretty dead. That looks pretty dead. There’s always a way back, but I’m sure there’s always a way forward, who knows? Sure. I never say no to anything.”

And just after that, she talked about a team up with Thanos and how good that would be.

Earlier on, she talked about her character Hela during an interview with Comicbook.com saying,

“I think it’s very interesting to bring the concept of death into a world that’s ostensibly immortal. You know, you look at the Western world and in most cultures, Death has been banished from the world in which most Western people live. And as a result, I think it’s made life rather screwed up.”

Also, if you remember Mark Ruffalo’s interview where he revealed that he loved working with Tilda Swinton (The Ancient One) and Cate Blanchett (Hela) and well, the only film where all three of them could be together is Avengers 4. Again, it’s just a speculation based on facts and rumours but if this is true, we might see the return of the Ancient One yet.

Time travelling will play a key role in Avengers 4 so all we do right is hope and pray that we get to witness the epic team-up of Thanos and Hela!
