Hilaria Baldwin Loses Support of Her Celebrity Friend After Alec Baldwin Gets Charged in Rust Shooting?
Recently, Hilaria Baldwin came out with a message for all those who were supporting Alec Baldwin while he has been embroiled in a shooting case. She named many celebrities that seemingly provided support to the actor. Although it does not seem like a big deal, however, some still pointed out the fact that she did not mention Meghan Markle. As people know, last December, she congratulated Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for being honored with the Robert F. Kennedy Ripple of Hope Award. This led to some questioning as to why she did not include the pair in her recent post. Therefore now there is speculation in the air about whether Markle sent any message of support to the Baldwins or ignored it.
Did Meghan Markle Ignore Hilaria Baldwin While Her Husband is Tangled in a Shooting Case?
Since 2021, after cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was fatally shot on the sets of Rust, Alec Baldwin had been in trouble with the legal system. Although in his defense he has pointed out his unawareness of the truth. However, there is possible evidence still stacked against him. Recently, his wife Hilaria Baldwin came out with a statement thanking the people who showed their support to him. She mentioned various names that apparently believed in Baldwin’s innocence in the case. However, people noticed the absence of Meghan Markle’s name in the list whom she showered with praise last December.
Due to this people seemed to think that the Duchess of Sussex would have also returned the gesture. But due to the absence of her name, speculations arose that Markle might not have sent any word of support whatsoever. While it could possibly be that case, there are other possibilities regarding the matter. Therefore unless someone confirms, there is no factual information about what Markle did or did not do.
What is the Shooting Case All About?
Back in 2021, while shooting the movie Rust, Alec Baldwin fired a gun that led to Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins’s death. Although the actor defended himself, it is still a case of criminal negligence. Following the incident, New Mexico district attorney Mary Carmack-Altweis filed charges against the production team. Recently on 31st January, Baldwin and Hannah Guttierez-Reed (set-armorer) were charged with “two counts of involuntary manslaughter“. And this type of legal charge carries a sentence of five years behind bars. Seemingly, the case will require a lot of convincing from the actor’s defense to take away the charges against him.
