How MCU Has Made A ‘Smart Move’ By Delaying The Trailer Of Avengers 4

So far, it has only been speculations about when the Avengers 4 trailer will release. Rumours suggest that Marvel may have a different marketing plan for the Avengers 4, which is why the studio has so far, been so secretive about the film. Not just this, fans believe that Marvel will also hold back the title of the film until the release of the trailer.

But if you notice the stats, the trailer hasn’t been delayed yet. Marvel has been following the same pattern for releasing their trailers since 2015 as the trailer for Civil War dropped on November 24, while the trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 came on December 3, 2016, and Infinity War, which released on November 29, 2017.

As far as the trailer for Avengers 4 is concerned, it’s not delayed and is currently going under Marvel’s original plan. What’s interesting is that Marvel hasn’t done any marketing for the film. For all other films, Marvel released posters of the movie or showed their trailers during events but for Avengers, Marvel has so far, been quiet.

Many fans believe that December 5 is the deadline for the release of the trailer because after that we have an Avengers 4 prelude comic coming out. So the trailer has to come out before that. However, that might not be the case. Marvel may actually stretch the wait until mid-December. For now, Marvel is just rallying fans, getting them all riled up for the actual release. This delay will increase the anticipation for the film and will also maintain the buzz around the film.

Marvel is also preventing the spoiler of the film until the release of the trailer. Another theory on Reddit suggests that the trailer may release on December 13, as that will be a cool Easter Egg to the countdown clock Marvel has released.

On December 13, there will be exactly 140 days left before the film releases in theatres on May 3. So releasing the trailer on that date will give the closest number to Doctor Strange’s 14,000,605 future alternatives theory, which saw the Avengers winning in one reality. The trailer can also be released with Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which is releasing on December 14.
